Meeting: The meeting was called to order by President Barb Shelton. The Pledge of Allegiance
was said by all and the prayer was offered by Henry Dillon. Birthdays recognized were: Vicki Powell, Henry Dillon, Karen Cornell
and Sara Spurlock. The anniversary of Norm and Ruth Snyder was recognized. The baked steak meal catered by Anita Merry was
enjoyed by all. Anita is booked for the April and December meetings for 2012. Members Wilbert and Marie Church have moved
to Florida, their address is: Lakeside Plantation, 2424 Cottonwood Lane, North Port, FL 34289.
Committee Reports: Karen Cornell reminded all to turn
in their volunteer hours by January 1 at the latest. The planning committee will meet January 5 at the Dillons at 12 p.m.
Wanda Willis reported that she received very nice thank you notes from the scholarship winners.

Program: Mrs.
Claus (aka Vicki Powell) regaled us with an entertaining reading of the book “Santa’s
Special Letter” which she bought in Wales. After coming home she realized it was written in Welsh, luckily she
found an English translation. Jim Clark served as “helper” during the reading.
Marlene Hoffman, memorial chair presented the Memorial Service. Remembered during this service were those of our members
who died during the year: Ruby Lee Shockley, Phillis Todd, Eileen P. Stitt and Newton I. Jones.
The meeting was concluded with the annual Christmas Carol “Sing-Along” led by Marlene Hoffman.
The raffle today netted $159. Winners: Sara Spurlock, Diana Drummond, Marlene Hoffman, Glenn Graham,
Christine Williams, Emily Robinson, Patty Young and Irene Clark. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
